Refunds are governed by the fare rules of the airline and applicable DGCA regulations. FlyByTheWay facilitates refunds — we do not independently determine refund eligibility.
1. Refund Timelines
- Airline-initiated cancellations: Full refund within 7 business days as per DGCA circular (domestic). International: per airline policy.
- Passenger-initiated cancellations: Subject to fare rules. Non-refundable fares will not be refunded.
- FlyByTheWay service fee: Non-refundable in all cases.
2. Process
- Submit refund requests to info@flybytheway.com with your booking reference.
- We will initiate the airline refund request within 2 business days.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
- Credit card refunds may take 5–14 business days depending on your bank.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
- No-show at the airport.
- Denied boarding due to documentation failure (visa, passport).
- Bookings made under promotional non-refundable fares.
- Tickets already used (partially or fully).
4. GST Refund
GST paid on service charges will be refunded only where the underlying service charge is refunded. GST on airline tickets follows airline policy.
